POST EVERLASTING
Patricia Thompson Ryan
1934 - 2026
Patricia "Pat" Thompson Ryan passed away at 91 years old on April 23rd, 2026 in Livermore, California.
Born June 19th, 1934 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Amy Irene Jost and Edward Kenneth Thompson, she was brought up in the Hudson River Valley.
Pat worked at IBM as a teenager, graduating from Poughkeepsie High School in 1952; where she went on to proudly serve as a Navy Wave.
Pat married Jim Ryan and moved to Chicago where they had two sons, Michael and Tim.
Pat continued to work for IBM through the 60's before transferring to the San Francisco office in 1967. Pat fell in love with the Golden State and lived in Piedmont, Alameda and San Leandro for 59 years.
Pat would like to be remembered for the great parties enjoyed during the '70s and '80s, oyster cookout at Stinson, Christmas sing, birthdays and wedding showers. "You name it!"
Pat was an incredible storyteller, often marking " The Burning at the Stake" as her favorite childhood story to tell. She was a fabulous cook, an avid reader, and (in her own words) her love of flea markets topped the list. Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Amy Jost and Kenneth Thompson; and brother, Thomas Thompson. She is survived by her children, Michael Peter Ryan, and Timothy Patrick Ryan; her grandchildren Christoph Ryan, Ollie Ryan, Simone Ryan, Christina Corpuz, and Aileen Ryan; and great grandchildren Anna Ryan, Hector Ryan, and Jonathan Ryan
Pat will be thoroughly missed by all!
